On the morning of October 17th, the appointment ceremony of “Changjiang Scholars” chair professors was held in College of Plant Protection. A&F executive deputy president Zhao Zhong, principals from departments concerned, leaders from College of Plant Protection, all staffs and postgraduates attended the ceremony.

Director Zhuang Shihong of Office of High-level Experts Recruitment announced the selected notice of Ministry of Education in the ceremony. Professor Liu Tongxian, the dean of College of Plant Protection, welcome the oining of prof Wang Mingbo in his speech, and introduced Wang as well as his scientific achievements. Professor Wang indicated that he would dedicate himeslf to contributions to the development of the course of plant pathology. Besides, he shared his experience in the need of mutual exchange and learning for scientific research with participants.

Zhao Zhong issued the letter of appointment for Wang Mingbo, expressed warm welcome to Wang Mingbo on behalf of the university, stating that “top-ranking talents are necessary for top-ranking colleges”, he further hoped that Wang would lead the course traditional edge subject of plant pathology to an advanced stage.
