On April.26th, preparing for the 80th anniversary of foundation and 15th anniversary of merging, A&F teachers and students honorably greeted Li Lanqing, the former standing member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and the former vice premier of the State Council. This was the 8th visit Yangling and 7th to A&F.

In accompany of Li’s visit are Lou Qinjian, Governor of Shaanxi province, Zhang Guangqiang, full time vice team leader of Yangling construction leading group of Shaanxi, Zhu Lieke, vice provincial governor, Liang Gui secretary of A&F CPC committee, Sun Qixin, A&F president, and Guo Sherong , secretary of the CPC Working Committee in Yangling

At the sand table in international exchange center, Li Lanqing was detailedly reported the university construction and development situation by president Sun Qixin, and at the breeding exhibition platform, Li Lanqing listened to the A&F plant breeding. Li Lanqing reviewed the exhibition with interest, communicated with presented breeding experts, and asked for details in attribute characteristics and promotion situation.

In the A&F Agriculture Research Institute of Water-saving in China's arid regions, Li Lanqing listened to the scientific research team in the institute, projects, facilities, and achievement introduced by vice president Wu Pute, and investigated and friendly talked with the institute researchers about their work and living. Li Lanqing noted that “the experts bear the hope to solve the problem of efficient water use in arid and semi-arid areas.”

The delegation also investigated the agricultural building under construction, the foreign expert apartment, the scientific research of greenhouse and museum garden, etc.
