On December 21st, academician of American Academy of Sciences, academician of American Academy of Arts and Sciences, professor from University of Washington, chief professor of American Cancer Society, world-famous biologist Dr.Robert N. Eisenman visited Northwest A&F University. 

On the afternoon of December 21st, A&F President Sun Wuxue met with Dr. Robert N. Eisenman and Prof. Chang Zhijie from School of Medical, Tsinghua University in the International Center of Cooperation and Exchange of the A&F. President Sun expressed his welcome to Dr. Robert N. Eisenman for his first visit and introduced to the guests the history, geographical postion, student number, disciplinary setting of the A&F. Mr. Sun said, the A&F pays much attention to the international exchanges and has signed cooperation memos with many world-famous universities. Chinese Government Graduate Student Overseas Study Program is going smoothly at the A&F. He hoped that the visit of Dr. Robert N. Eisenman would help to construct the platform of cooperation between the two parties and the A&F would send more outstanding students to study in America. Dr. Robert N. Eisenman welcomed outstanding post doctorates to conduct study in Cancer Research Center where he holds a position. He also invited President Sun to visit the Center.

Soonafter, Dr. Robert N. Eisenman reported on “The Myc Oncogenic Transcription Factor Network Regulates Cell Differentiation” in Room 207 of International Cooperation and Exchange Center. More than 400 students and staff of the A&F listened to the report.

During the visit, Vice President of the A&F Hou Xi met with Dr. Robert N. Eisenman. Dr. Robert N. Eisenman. Dr. Robert N. Eisenman also visited the Museum Garden and the two campuses of the A&F.
